Biography of Ron Irizarry

RON IRIZARRY is an award-winning, multi-talented singer/songwriter/producer from Carlisle, Pennsylvania whose seasoned experience of extensive touring and recording projects has garnered worldwide acclaim.

He has graced stages across the world including Madison Square Garden, The Staples Center, and The Rose Bowl. Ron has toured the United States and Canada several times over and has opened and toured alongside many prominent artists that have expressed their admiration of his music, including Justin Timberlake, One Republic, Pink, & Mandy Moore. Over the years Ron has had the opportunity to warm up crowds for multiple artists in their respective genres including B.B. King, Jimmy Eat World, Switchfoot, Sister Hazel, and Erykah Badu.

Along with his success of performance, Ron has won praise for his songwriting and production skills from top producers in the industry including Ryan Tedder (One Republic, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Kelly Clarkson), and David Siegel (Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony).

Recently Ron wrote, produced, and performed the theme song to the Luke Wilson film HENRY POOLE IS HERE. His song was picked from 3,450 submissions in the HENRY POOLE IS HERE MySpace theme songwriting contest sponsored by Overture Films, Lakeshore Entertainment, and director Mark Pellington. It is featured as the title track on the Official Motion Picture Soundtrack. Along with the soundtrack, his debut video for HENRY POOLE IS HERE was directed by music video and film director Mark Pellington and is featured on the DVD release of the film.

Ron’s awards and accolades include: best solo artist in 2003 and 2005 by the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities (APCA) for his excellence in performance in the college market, and was recognized by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences on the Official Grammy Ballot in the category for Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media, for his song HENRY POOLE IS HERE. In addition, he was a featured artist on the Los Angeles based #1 station, KISS FM’s JoJo On The Radio’s New Music Alert. He made his national television debut performance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS, as well as a feature on The Filipino Channel’s Balitang America.
